Lee, To be honest. I thought the Lon Kruger hire was brilliant on Castiglione's part. I was impressed that he took a terrible situation that Jeff Capel left him and Sampson before him and turned it around so quickly. I also liked that he immediately held open practices for the media and did everything he could to get the students to come to games. I always root for OU when they aren't playing OSU. As much as I hate to agree with you about Ford, but I think Ford is a way better recruiter than he is a coach. He's finally gotten rid of Sutton's last player in Keiton Page, so we will finally get to see his true coaching ability. I'm pretty sure Rick Barnes will be looking for another job after this season.

Thank you Craftyman, as much as we argued I could've cared less about bringing up the Cowboys in this discussion. I only responded in reference to OSU and Baylor "blowing past" OU's athletic department. Sorry, wasnt going to let that one slide, but it doesn't matter now. (Agree to disagree). OSU is going to get the better seed and probably have a better tournament, I really just hope OU gets in. I think that would be huge for us this year, and if we gave it away at this point it could really hurt. As for the future of bball programs, I like where OU sits. Jay, I don't know who "Sooner fans are turning on", but I promise you it's not Lon Kruger. I love Lon Kruger. Maybe I missed who you are referring to. I'd take Kruger over Ford any day of the week. Rick, The "aggies" were brought up by one of your OU brethren, Lee. I'll say this and only this, OSU has 2 NCAA championships in basketball as the "aggies". How many does OU have as the Sooners?

well the messages are slowing down, so i guess its getting out of everyone's system. just wanted to say been a cowboy fan for 46 years, suffered through years of bad basketball and football, but the times are changing. osu sports are evolving into elite programs, thank you boone and coaches, and osu will continue to be top 20 teams far into te future. oh yeah more thing, ou sucks

Wow.....a story about a true "rivalry" (OU vs. UT) and of course the aggies have to crash the party. What do both of these teams (osu and ut) have in common? They dream of beating the Sooners on a "consistent" basis. And when it happens, they have to talk about it forever. I'm surprised that we haven't seen 45-35 or 44-10 posted up yet lol!

Not every OU grad feels like that. Sent my daughter to OU and she considers me part of the Sooner Nation...course could be because I'm still making payments.

OU Sooner = OU graduate OU sports fan = anyone who woke up one day and decided to cheer for Sooner sports teams. Now you tell me which is harder to do, being a Sooner or a wannabe Sooner. Alumni have every right to feel more connection/pride to OU/OU sports than just buying OU t-shirts.

Could care less about any college sport other than football, basketball and baseball. 90% of fans feel the same way. I didn't graduate from OU but I grew up with season tickets from the time I can remember. Who cares if you went to school there? You can be a fan of anyone you want.

What's with this idiocy that you need to have gone to a school in order to be a fan of it? Look at OU's name: "the university OF Oklahoma". Oklahoma's a big state and has lots of colleges and universities. Obviously, everyone in the state isn't going to go to one university. That argument is like saying you shouldn't root for the Thunder if you never played for them or don't live in OKC. Ludicrous. Another ludicrous statement: 'OSU expects to beat OU now and is disappointed when they don't" or whatever...OSU fans love to talk about how the overall series record of 83-17-7 isn't relevant; it's what's happened lately....ok...how about 9 of the last 10 Bedlam games being won by OU.

Craftyman, It's not ignorance, it's the fact I recognize it's not something I particularly care about so why am I going to boast about it? That's silly. If you care about OSU wrestling program and want to brag about go ahead, but realize most fans from other schools don't care, and will simply not give any importance to it. Revenue is a big indicator of the health of an athletic department, that's why they're there, not saying it translates into titles, but if there is a title I don't have a true vested interest in why am I, me personally as a fan, going to claim it? I shouldn't. Now to bball. Tenn? Please. Akron? Come on, go look at their schedule. Zaga as a good LOSS??? That's the Cowboy spirit I remember. OSU is a good team, but it's not like your resume is that much better than OU's, and it's okay to admit that, you're going to get a better seed anyway. And if the experts are picking ISU and OU's hopes are dashed, just take the fake bet with Scott.
