NORMAN — Senior backup quarterback Drew Allen is working out through the spring, but not with the Oklahoma football team.

Allen, who fell behind Blake Bell on the Sooners’ depth chart during the last preseason, plans to transfer to another Football Bowl Subdivision school after he graduates in May.

NCAA rules allow players who have graduated to transfer to another FBS school without sitting out the usually required one season, under certain conditions.

“He’s a wonderful guy and will do well for somebody,” said OU coach Bob Stoops.
