So the news is in. As of yesterday, Frank Booker is an Oklahoma Sooner.

Booker is a shooting guard from Westside High School in Augusta, Ga. He is 6-foot-3 and weighs 185.

I had a chance to watch him on March 1 when he visited OU. He was shooting with senior Steven Pledger from beyond the arc. Let’s just say, Oklahoma fans are going to like when Booker is shooting from 3-point range.

He’s got a smooth shot and incredible arm strength. Booker also seemed really comfortable with the team and Oklahoma coach Lon Kruger.

Booker had an offers from Tennessee, Texas A&M, Austin Peay and La Salle as well. He is considered a three-star recruit and ranked the 58th best shooting guard in the nation for the Class of 2013 by ESPN.com.

Here are videos of Booker’s announcement and a post-interview.
