Man shot in northwest Oklahoma City Friday

A man was shot in a northwest Oklahoma City robbery attempt. The man's wound is not life-threatening, police report.

Police are looking for two men who tried to rob another man at gunpoint then opened fire, hitting the driver as he tried to get away early Friday in northwest Oklahoma City, police Master Sgt. Gary Knight said.

About 12:35 a.m. police were called to 7228 NW 10.

A man who suffered a gunshot wound said he pulled his car into an apartment complex parking lot and was approached by two men described as black. One man had a gun. The men demanded money but the driver accelerated to speed away.

One of the men opened fire, hitting the driver. The wound is not life-threatening, Knight reports.
