The Clippers say they hope Blake Griffin will make his debut in a limited role on Jan. 20 against the Chicago Bulls at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Yahoo’s NBA reporter, Marc Spears, reports.

Griffin was selected No. 1 overall in last June’s draft, but has yet to play in a regular season game after suffering a stress fracture in his left kneecap.

Spears added that despite being unable to workout, Griffin had not put on any weight.

Griffin was named the MVP of the Clippers’ NBA Summer League and in three preseason appearances, averaged 11.3 points and 9.3 rebounds.
