Two Sooners make All-Academic team

Danielle Robinson and Joanna McFarland were named to the Capital One Academic All-District 6 women’s basketball team on Thursday.
Robinson, a senior majoring in sociology, was named to the first team and will be eligible for Academic All-America consideration.
McFarland, a sophomore majoring in biochemistry/chemistry, was voted to the second team.
Robinson leads the Sooners, averaging 19.5 points and 5.3 assists. The San Jose, Calif., native is on pace to become just the third top-level women’s college basketball player to total 2,000 points, 700 assists and 300 steals in a career.
McFarland, from Derby, Kan., contributes 6.4 points and 7.6 rebounds per game.
