Oklahoma’s women’s basketball team hopes it fares as well as the baseball team which won a best two-of-three super regional last year at Viriginia to reach the College World Series…

Charttloesville, Va., is in the middle of the Blue Ridge mountains, a scenic area, providing breathtaking views on the drive to Virginia from Baltimore.
Shenandoah National Park is nearby…

OU held a press conference from 1 to 1:30 p.m. CDT followed by a 90-minute practice. James Madison followed with a 2:30-3 p.m. press conference followed by a 90-minute pratice.
The other two teams, Miami (Fla.) and Gardner Webb (N.C.) held their practices and press conferences earlier in the day…

OU’s NCAA Tournament opening round game is more difficult than most realize.
James Madison’s campus is located only 45 miles away. The Dukes are expected to have 4,000 or more fans.
And the Sooners haven’t played as well on the road this season.
OU finished 15-2 at Lloyd Noble Center but was 6-9 away from Norman, 5-8 in true road games, 1-1 at neutral sites.
This officially will be a neutral site game but with JMU having a decided homecourt advantage, it’s essentially a road game.
The Sooners haven’t won a non-conference road game since the season opener four months ago (Nov. 13) at Milwaukee-Wisconsin.
OU lost its other four non-conference road games, all by double digits at Ohio State, Arkansas, TCU and Connecticut.
