Being from right outside of Dallas, R.J. Washington was asked what it’s like to go against so many guys from Dallas and other former Texas high school football players during the OU-Texas game.

The defensive tackle will face off against a running back/wide receiver he used to play in All-Star games with: D.J. Monroe. That’s not the only player though that Washington will see this weekend that he knows. Here’s what he said it’s like to go through the Texas roster:

For the most part, the Texas people are pretty much all from Texas and a lot of people from OU are usually from Texas,” Washington said. “So, there’s always that sibling rivalry kind of thing going on. Even if you don’t know them, you know what school they went to.

“You’ll be looking down the list. `Oh, he went to — Oh, OK, I know where that’s at. I know where that’s at. Oh, I think I played against him’ type of thing. It’s always good to play against other Texas players because we’re all so competitive.”
