Video: A look at Jalen Saunders, OU’s newest weapon

Regardless of the average defenders trying to slow Jalen Saunders in this grainy but revealing YouTube clip, his pure speed shines through.

Granted, Mountain West athletes don’t exactly compare to those roaming Big 12 secondaries. But it’s not like this conference has earned a great name for stopping the pass lately.

Saunders’ only refined route may be ‘run as fast as you can for five seconds, look up and catch the ball if it’s coming to you,’ but that seems to be one that the OU offense has been lacking this season.

And with the surprising announcement of his immediate eligibility, that added boost could be huge for Landry Jones come Red River Saturday.

And, as Randy Moss would love to remind you, it’s always good to have somebody ‘take the ball deep, take the top off the defense.’
