No. 5 West Virginia ended up losing to TexaS Tech 49-14 (a team Oklahoma beat 41-20) and No. 8 Ohio State barely edged out one-win Indiana.

Former Sooners offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson is in his second year in Bloomington, Ind. and is still looking for his first conference win. (The Hoosiers won one game in Wilson’s first season.)

Coffee Sip: “Kevin Wilson and his staff have never been about moral victories.

“It’s a bottom-line business, and the reality is that the Indiana University football team is 2-4 after Saturday night’s crazy 52-49 loss to Ohio State at Memorial Stadium.

“But there’s something about this Indiana team. It plays hard every week. It never gives up. It almost plays with a “Little Engine That Could” mentality.

“That mentality was certainly on display Saturday night.”
