It’s been a month today since Oklahoma’s offensive lineman ended chemotherapy treatment. Today, Woods will be able to celebrate a month of building back his strength. He’ll also celebrate the news he got yesterday. His cancer is in remission.

The junior discovered in the spring that he had Hodgkin’s lymphoma after he went to the Sooners’ athletic trainer because his throat was constantly sore.

Woods spent all of summer workout, preseason and season going through practice and chemotherapy simultaneously.

Woods had a biopsy on Monday to check on how his body was doing. The results for cancer came back negative.

Now, he hopes to return to being a normal college football player.
