NORMAN — Rivals.com released its final Rivals100 prospect rankings Monday, and Oklahoma running back commitment Keith Ford shot up 65 spots to No. 48.
Ford, from Cypress Ranch (Texas), is a four-star prospect and Oklahoma’s only commitment in the final Rivals100.
The 5-foot-11, 195-pound Ford is the Sooners’ only 2013 running back commitment; he rushed for over 1,700 yards and 20 touchdowns during his senior season.
Ford played in the Under Armour All-America game, returning a kickoff 64 yards.
“Ford was the top running back for Team Nitro at the UAAG,” said Rivals.com Southeast recruiting analyst Kynon Codrington. “In fact, he was probably the second best running back in the game behind (Alvin) Kamara.
“Ford’s breakaway speed was displayed in the game on his 64-yard kickoff return. In addition to that he showed great vision, cutting ability, and lower body power in practice.”
Oklahoma currently has 20 players committed in its 2013 recruiting class, and is at No. 16 in Rivals’ team rankings.
