Vietnam War troops receive official warm welcome home

About 200 Vietnam veterans were honored in the ceremony Friday at Fort Sill in Oklahoma.

LAWTON — When Pat Mitchell came home from Vietnam in 1967 he was spat on.

Mitchell returned to the United States by way of California. At the airport, he found himself the target of protesters, something he’s never fully understood.
