Special Needs Baseball League Now Forming

The 6th season of Spirit League baseball is gearing up for Spring 2013 on J. Calvin Field on Tuesday, April 16.  Individuals are encouraged to sign up for the outdoor baseball league which offers recreation baseball for all individuals of all ages with a disability.

Games will be played on J. Calvin Field inside Taylor Park, 410 N. 11th.  The field has a special rubberized playing surface along the baselines.  This surface allows players to stay on a level and easily accessible playing surface.

Games are played on Tuesdays & Thursdays (if necessary) at 6:00 PM & 7:00 PM through June 6.  Cost is $15 per player for the 8-week season.  Registration is held at the Yukon Parks & Recreation Office, 532 W. Main.

The Spirit League is open to all individuals with a disability.  Players of all ages are welcome to participate.  The league is not just limited to the Yukon area, players from across the state are welcome to join.  The deadline to enter to be placed on a team is Tuesday, April 10th.
