Norman police search for robber

Norman police are searching for a robber described as a white man in his 30s. He was wearing a black jacket or hoodie, a gray T-shirt and blue jeans as he robbed Advance America, police said.

— Police are searching for a man who robbed a business Tuesday morning.

Norman police responded to a reported robbery shortly before 11 a.m. at Advance America, 512 W Main St., according to a news release.

An employee told police a man entered the business and demanded money from the cash drawer. The employee gave the robber an undisclosed amount of cash and the robber fled, according to the release.

The employee said the robber kept a hand in his pocket, giving the appearance of being armed.

The robber is described as a white man in his 30s, about 5 feet, 9 inches tall, medium build, with glasses and a black beard. He was wearing a black jacket or hoodie, a gray T-shirt and blue jeans, police said.
