Lankford to speak in Edmond

U.S. Rep. James Lankford will speak on Thursday at Oak Tree Country Club. The membership luncheon by the Edmond Area Chamber of Commerce begins at 11:30 a.m.

The business community will host U.S. Rep. James Lankford on Thursday.

The 11:30 a.m. membership luncheon at Oak Tree Country Club is put on by the Edmond Area Chamber of Commerce.

“We are eager to hear an update from Congress on issues impacting both Edmond and Oklahoma as a whole,” said Ken Moore, Edmond Area Chamber of Commerce, president and chief executive officer.

Lankford was elected on Nov. 2, 2010. He serves on House budget and oversight and government reform committees. He is chairman of the subcommittee on energy policy, health care and entitlements.

He was elected chairman of the House Republican Policy Committee for the 113th Congress.
