GE employs hundreds in OKC

Oklahoma City already is home to GE Oil and Gas' artificial lift business, which has more than 550 employees. Such technology helps make new oil fields more efficient while making older fields productive again.

GE's oil and gas business is its fastest-growing unit with revenues of more than $15 billion in 2012, when new orders increased 16 percent.
