Meet a local Twitter personality — hanging out with Judge Radar

When Oklahoma native John Doyle isn’t working downtown, he’s holding court and bringing Thunder fans together with a rally monkey.

This week, I had a chance to “hangout” with Doyle, who is also known by many in Oklahoma City as Judge Radar.

We chatted about his following and influence on Twitter and how OKC Night Court started.

Thursday marked Doyle’s two-year anniversary on Twitter. He now has nearly 1,100 followers and hopes to continue holding court for years to come.

“It doesn’t matter to me the number of total followers. But I do hope that an overwhelming majority of them are on the local level,” Doyle said.

In addition to presiding over Thunder games, Doyle also helps his followers find information on fires, high-speed car chases and any local news events.

“We tend to be a close family here in Oklahoma City compared to other metropolitian areas.”

Learn more about the judge in the Google+ hangout video posted above.
