Airplane crashes into vacant house in Collinsville

More than one person on the plane died Sunday evening in the crash, Collinsville Police Chief Jimmie Richey said.

COLLINSVILLE — More than one person died Sunday evening when a small airplane crashed into a vacant house in Collinsville, officials said.

Collinsville Police Chief Jimmie Richey said there were multiple fatalities. A sheriff’s deputy had confirmed that at least the pilot was killed, but officials did not know immediately how many people were in the plane’s wreckage.
