7:20 a.m. A red flag warning for high fire danger will be in effect from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday in Texas and Cimarron counties in the Oklahoma Panhandle, the National Weather Service reports. For weather updates check NewsOK.com.

5:45 a.m. A sunny, windy day is ahead in central Oklahoma Monday with temperatures in the upper 70s, the National Weather Service reports.

There is a chance for rain Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Monday: Partly sunny with a high near 77. South wind 18 to 21 mph with gusts as high as 29 mph.

Monday night: Mostly cloudy with a low around 65. South wind around 22 mph with gusts as high as 31 mph.

Tuesday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Mostly cloudy with a high near 75. South wind 16 to 21 mph with gusts as high as 29 mph.

Tuesday night: Showers and thunderstorms likely. Cloudy with a low around 37. South, southeast wind 13 to 18 mph becoming north, northwest after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent.

Wednesday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1 p.m. then a slight chance of showers. Mostly cloudy with a high near 47. North, northwest wind 20 to 22 mph with gusts as high as 31 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.

Wednesday night Mostly cloudy with a low around 32.

Thursday: Mostly sunny with a high near 55.

Thursday night: Mostly clear with a low around 36.

Friday: Mostly sunny with a high near 60.

Friday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 43.
