It's back in black for Oklahoma stars at the Academy of Country Music Awards

The 48th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards showcased many Oklahoma performers, most of whom made understated fashion choices sticking to a color scheme of black.

Oklahoma had a huge presence at Sunday's 48th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards show. Miranda Lambert, of Tishomingo, took home four awards, including best female vocalist and song of the year, the latter shared with husband Blake Shelton.

Arm in arm, the couple were dressed in black and white with shades of gray as they accepted their awards.

Lambert's solid black decollete dress was perhaps overly revealing of her cleavage area and looked a bit like a wardrobe malfunction waiting to happen. But she kept her assets undercover, keeping the focus mostly on her stellar performances and the collection of trophies she garnered.

Lambert's little black dress was accentuated by a pair of sheer, beaded, peep-toe booties — we hear she's starting a footwear line soon, and these booties made a statement some reviewers loved and some hated.

The couple's somber shades of gray seemed to be the color scheme for most of Oklahoma's hottest country crooners during the show, even as the state's country stars seemed to dominate the ceremony, especially Lambert and Shelton.

Reba McEntire wore an LBD that showcased her amazing figure.

Carrie Underwood ignored the LBD memo for her red carpet walk. She dazzled (and actually made a few “worst dressed” lists) in a bold red floral Naeem Khan strapless dress, her hair piled high in a slightly messy (but very pretty) chignon.
