Student arrested after alleged threat against police

BARTLESVILLE -- Authorities arrested an 18-year-old Bartlesville High School student after he allegedly brought a machete to the school.

Police said the student told his mother he planned to kill officers at the police station, the Bartlesville Examiner-Enterprise reported.



The student was identified as Jonathon Charles Hubler. He was arrested on a complaint of possession of a weapon on school property.

According to a probable cause affidavit, police received a report April 4 that Hubler had called his mother with the threat against officers.

He was taken into protective custody and his father went to the high school to pick up Hubler’s pickup.

The machete was found in the vehicle.
