Newly renovated University Club at OU will reopen in Norman

A ribbon-cutting Tuesday marked the completion of renovations at the University Club in the Oklahoma Memorial Union at the University of Oklahoma. The club was renamed the Crawford University Club in honor of a former union director who donated money for the renovation.

A newly renovated University Club in the Oklahoma Memorial Union will reopen Monday.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony Tuesday celebrated completion of renovations and honored Jan Marie Crawford and her late husband, Richard Crawford.

Jan Marie Crawford, of Denver, is a former director of union activities. She recently gave money to help with the club's renovation. It appreciation, the club was renamed the Crawford University Club.

Renovation work included new flooring and furniture, a state-of-the-art kitchen, an expanded menu and the addition of a fireplace and grand piano.
