Oklahoma City man accused of punching girlfriend and her 10-year-old daughter

A man on probation for assault is accused of punching his girlfriend and her 10-year-old daughter who tried to intervene, court records show.

Gary Lee West, 36, of Oklahoma City, was charged Thursday in Oklahoma County District Court with four felonies, including domestic abuse and assault and battery, records show. The other charges are drug-related.

West is accused of striking the woman with his fist in front of her daughter on March 15, according to a probable cause affidavit. West hit the girl in the face with his fist when she tried to assist her mother, police reported.

West has a March 2012 conviction for domestic abuse in Davidson County, Tenn., records show. He was being held Thursday in the Oklahoma County jail, with bail set at $9,500, authorities said.
