Shiny news from the inky blackness of space

Browncoats can rejoice. Dark Horse Comics recently announced that in 2008, the characters of “Firefly” and “Serenity” will find new life in “Serenity: Better Days.”

The three-issue series is a look back on the early days of the space-faring crew and it’s due out in March.

Lest you think some lesser-knowns would be in charge, Joss Whedon his own self will be writing the series with Brett Matthews. Will Conrad will provide interior art and Adam Hughes will do all three covers.

While I’m still anxiously awaiting news of a revived TV series or a movie sequel, I guess Whedon-verse comics will just have to suffice.

If you’re not reading “Buffy: Season Eight” or “Angel: After the Fall,” you’re missing out on the fun.
