ENID -- Police Sgt. Quent Tubbs saw the minivan driving slowly down the street with its windows rolled down.

But when he shortly afterward he heard squealing tires and saw the vehicle stuck in a lawn, he decided to check it out.

That's when he talked to the driver and smelled alcohol on his breath, the Enid News & Eagle reported.

When backup officers arrived, they gave the driver a field sobriety test, which he flunked, then noticed three gallon bottles of vodka, two open, the newspaper reported.

The driver refused to take the state's breath test, which got him booked into jail.
