The Wildcats senior sparked his club to a 5-0 mark last week, boosting K-State into second place in the Big 12 standings. Davis batted .529, driving in eight runs with a home run among a 9-for-17 performance at the plate. Davis also stole three bases, while posting a .619 on-base percentage and .706 slugging percentage.


Up: Jordan Piché, RHP, Kansas

A junior college transfer who has stabilized the back end of games for the Jayhawks, Piché recorded three saves in four scoreless appearances last week. Two of the saves came in KU's series win over Oklahoma State. For the week, he worked 6 2/3 innings, allowing just four hits with one walk and four strikeouts.

Down: Texas Tech momentum

The once-hot Red Raiders have dropped five straight games overall, with the biggest damage coming in a weekend sweep at Kansas State. Tech, slipping under .500 overall at 17-18, is now 4-8 in the conference. In Big 12 play, the Red Raiders are batting just .214.
