UPDATE: Three people taken into custody after bank robbery

12:05 p.m. FBI spokesman Rick Rains said three persons of interest were taken into custody in the 3000 block of NE 16 in connection to the robbery at MidFirst Bank.

11:45 a.m. FBI spokesman Rick Rains said officials think the suspects from the bank robbery are connected to five other bank robberies in the metro area since February.

11:20 a.m. Three people have been taken into custody and all schools that were locked down are being reopened in south Oklahoma City, according to Oklahoma City police radio reports. Police report two of the three people are being arrested on bank robbery complaints.

10:50 a.m. Four Oklahoma City schools are locked down while police search for the bank robbers in south Oklahoma City, district spokeswoman Tierney Tinnin said. The schools are Prairie Queen Elementary, Southern Hills Elementary, Jefferson Middle School and Parmelee Elementary.

9:45 a.m. Two bank robbers with guns are at large in southwest Oklahoma City, police report Friday morning.

The MidFirst Bank at 7500 S Western Ave. was robbed about 9:25 a.m.

The robbers fled and crashed into a tree near the Los Pueblos Apartments near Interstate 240 and S Western Avenue.
