Maybe there is room to use Nate like Detroit used to do with "Vinny the microwave." Stick him in for short periods to see if he can prvide a quick scoring boost. If he hit his first couple of shots Coach Daly might leave him in for a couple of more minutes, and if he did not hit his first couple of shots, coach Daly pulled him quickly. Don't really know if that is a good idea or not, but it is a thought. It is a limited role, but to the best of my memory, it seemed to work for Detroit. Sometimes anyway.

I love having Nate here and really want to see him play, but I just don't know how he's gonna get minutes with our current rotation.
John Rohde joined The Oklahoman staff in January of 1987 as a sports columnist. Rohde also has served as a beat writer for OU football and basketball and currently is covering the NBA and the OKC Thunder. Rohde is married, has a son, was raised in Boulder, Colo., and was a 1982 graduate from the University of Arizona.
