Postgame Thoughts: Thunder collapses late, loses to Mavericks in Game 4

you gave it your damnest, fell short once again, dont have a clue what happened, that's between you teammates, and the coach, you gots lots of screain ass fans that are always behind you, I just got to go to 2 of the games. I live on 100% Army desibility and cant afford those hi prices, but, ya'll screwwed the pooch this year, yer yunguns, and will learn, just like i learnt to defend myself had a fard playoffs, but most of your downfalls was your own demise, think, think think, gotta do that in combat, wrong thought, you're dead fighting for a cause, you do that, wrong thought, you lose 2 or 3 double digit games in the last few minutes, nothing but lose a few fans and a lot of Boo's, I hung all I could, so didn't lost the war, jsut the battle, nest year, LOOK THE HELL OUT, sorry for the bad ending. Throughout this series, refs clearly shown they're getting pay under the table to make bad calls against Thunder. 2 of many bad calls last night was K.D. pull up 3 pointer fouled by Jason Kids diddn't call. Chandler kicked Kevin Durant as replay have shown, they didn't call either. just my 2 cents.

OKC time to focus on baseball oh wait no MLB ok time to get revved up for NFL and hope this lockout ends oh thats right no NFL team.Well get out there and tend to those cattle hoss.

It was certainly a sad night after the game, I couldn't sleep. Our team is young and they will be having some great basketball in the future. It was not one person's fault, Not KD, Not RW, Not Perkins. We actually outplayed the MAVS the total game, just not in the score. Keep you head up Thunder you are going to go far, if not this year then the coming years!!!

Choklahoma will only win 30 games next year and watch the attendance drop. Maybe they will move to Anaheim.

What happened in Monday night's game had nothing to do with the Thunder not having the experience it needed or the Thunder Fans should have to wait for a championship. It had everything to do with poor referring. The Mavs weren't winning and couldn't defend the Thunder so they resorted to football tackles, kicking players, and elbowing them in the head. Charles Barkeley's comment that if he was playing against a guy like Daequan Cook who was making all those 3 pointers, I'd throw him into the fans and make it look like an accident instigated the Mav style. I remember when Barkley played, and his reputation was a DIRTY PLAYER. So if Mavs want to earn their slot as Western Conference Champs, let them play like Champs and see who comes out on top. That Monday game should be thrown out!

For all of you folks talking with some kind of authority about Seattle deserving to lose the team, you have NO idea what you're talking about. The team was playing in a stadium that had been remodeled to their specifications just a few years before the move. Worse, the owners of the Sonics started complaining about the stadium within 5 years of the remodel, and the associated costs involved (some $95M) were nowhere close to being paid off. That money could have been used to build a new stadium, but the Sonics wanted to stay at the Seattle Center. After spending close to $1B on new stadiums for baseball and football, when the NBA decided to try and hold Seattle up for another few hundred million, they ran into a brick wall. The NBA, led by David Stern, manipulated the entire situation to teach other NBA cities that, if an owner wants more, don't cross them. It doesn't matter that you have a great history, outstanding fan support, a following throughout an entire region of the country (and western Canada). Don't cross the NBA. The team was intentionally drained of all its' quality (see Boston and Ray Allen) and tanked. Then, with no talent on the floor, Bennett turned down an offer of free land to build a new stadium on. Now, unlike Oklahoma, land is very expensive in Seattle. In fact, even in today's market, the average price of a home in Seattle is almost four times that of OKC. Then, Bennett came up with a plan for a new stadium that would cost around $500M. Do you folks have any idea how expensive that is for a basketball arena? It would have been the most expensive basketball arena in the world. Period. He, and Stern, knew no city would agree to that. The whole point was to teach a lesson to other cities. It had nothing to do with the value of the OKC market, and you're delusional if you think that is the case. OKC could reasonably have a market size of 4 - 5,000,000 (including parts of Kansas and Missouri). Seattle could reasonably have a market size of 14,000,000 (including parts of Oregon, Alaska, and British Columbia). Now back to this series. Experience counts. The Thunder have a world of talent. They don't know how to win, yet. Right now, they are learning lessons that could very possibly lead them to future championships. Not this year. Enjoy the summer fishing.

Ok, "haters" from Seattle. Get over it. No one 'stole' your team. Really?! How old are you anyway? Maybe if you all had been able to fill the arena even half as many times as we do, you'd still have a team. But you couldn't & you don't. Move on. Now OKC has the Thunder & we're proud of them. No one could have guessed 2 yrs ago that our team would even be in the playoffs at all, much less in the Western Conference Finals. Yes, they're young & make some immature mistakes. They'll learn & will continue to grow & improve as a team. Good times ahead for this team & its fans. OKC Thunder!!!

Young players young coach lack of basketball knowledg. All of them are still learning, in time Durant will learn how to free himself on his spots, Westbrook will learn to give the ball up before the defense collaspes. Butfor now they need to understand that this is a game of motion and passing which are the 2 things we don't get in the last stretch of the game. Please guys take the playground out to the playground this is the big time basketball!

Westbrook is an immature head case with the emotional maturity of a 13-year old girl. Yes he can jump, but he pouts, gets angry, blames others, is out of control, makes bad decisions etc. - he is very over-rated. We need a point guard.

I'm a long-time Mavs fan, and trust me: we all feel your pain. We lived it in 2006 and during many other seasons. OKC is the future, so hang in there. You'll be glad you did. This Mavs team is amazingly mature in relation to many previous years. I didn't see this coming, but experience born of failure is apparently a powerful force. Don't get down on your players.
