It remains to be seen if three-time Academy Award winning actor Jack Nicholson will chat with Thunder coach Scott Brooks during tonight’s 9:30 game against the Los Angeles Lakers at Staples Center. The two haven’t spoken since Game 5 of the NBA playoffs at Staples Center on April 27, 2010.

After Friday morning’s shoot-around session at Santa Monica High School, Brooks was asked about his light-hearted conversation with Nicholson, the most nominated male actor in Academy Awards history with 12. “You think I would remember something like that?” Brooks asked in mock disgust.

Obviously kidding, Brooks shared what was said. “It was actually pretty cool,” Brooks admitted. “I was really thinking to myself, ‘I can’t believe he’s talking to me. I can’t believe he knows my name and he’s wasting his time talking to me.’ It was a good conversation. We talked about one of the referees that he knows real well. I was saying good things about him (the referee) and he was disagreeing with me on all the nice things I said. I think he went to high school with him.”
