The NBA has released the full 2011-12 schedule, and there are plenty of questions about how things will shook out for the Thunder.
Here’s a quick attempt to provide some answers.
Q: Which marquee teams are coming and when?
A: Dallas on Dec. 29 and March 5. New York on Jan. 14. Boston on Feb. 22. Lakers on Feb. 23 (one visit). Clippers on March 21 and April 11. Miami on March 25. Chicago on April 1.
Q: When does the Thunder travel to play the marquee teams?
A: At Dallas on Jan. 2 and Feb. 1. At Boston on Jan. 16. At the Clippers on Jan. 30 and April 16. At Orlando on March 1. At the Lakers on March 29 and April 22. At Miami on April 4.
Q: Which six Eastern Conference teams aren’t coming to Oklahoma City?
A: Atlanta, Indiana, Milwaukee, New Jersey, Philadelphia and Washington.
Q: Which six Eastern Conference cities will the Thunder not go to?
A: Charlotte, Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, New York and Toronto.
Q: How many national television games does the Thunder have?
A: Seventeen on ESPN, TNT and ABC, as well as another seven on NBA TV. Nine will be on ESPN, six will be on TNT and two will be on ABC.
Q: What’s the breakdown of games by day?
A: Eight games on Sunday, 11 games on Monday, eight games on Tuesday, 14 games on Wednesday, six games on Thursday, 11 games on Friday and eight games on Saturday.
Q: How many back-to-back-to-backs?
A: 18 back-to-backs. The Thunder had 17 last year.
