Washington Wizards coach Randy Wittman was asked prior to Wednesday’s game whether he had any “history” with Thunder coach Scott Brooks.

“Yeah, he and I fought one time,” Wittman cracked.

Wittman then turned serious and became very complimentary of coach Brooks.

“Scott’s one of the good coaches in this league,” Wittman said. “He took advantage of an opportunity here and has done a remarkable job, making it all the way to the Finals last year and then doing it again this year, putting them right back in a position that they’re going to be one of the favorites to make it again.

“So Scott’s a good guy. Not only a good coach but a good guy. That means a lot to me, sometimes more than what he can do on the bench is the kind of person he is, too.”
