After completing one of the more surprising upsets in recent college basketball history on Sunday, the Louisville women’s team returned to their locker room to find a surprise visitor.

Thunder star Kevin Durant, a far-ranging celebrity in the basketball world, came to congratulate the Lady Cardinals, minutes after they beat top-ranked Baylor 81-80 in the Oklahoma City regional.

A couple of Durant’s teammates escorted him there, including Jeremy Lamb and Hasheem Thabeet. But the Lady Cardinals didn’t seem too interested in taking pictures with (or even noticing) a rookie and backup center.

But at least Lamb and Thabeet didn’t get the same treatment as one of Durant’s friends, who got an inadvertent left hook to the chin. Check the below video (punch at :05).

Meanwhile, down the tunnel and on the other end of the emotional spectrum, Baylor players lay devastated in the wake of this wild upset.

That included All-American junior guard Odyssey Sims, who had to be consoled by Thunder rookie and former Baylor star Perry Jones III. Here are two photos from The Oklahoman’s Sarah Phipps, which really capture the moment:
