Video: Kevin Durant’s highlight swat leads to monster dunk

Kevin Durant’s had better blocks before. And he’s certainly had better dunks.

But the gangly superstar has never provided two of basketball’s most exciting plays in such a tidy sequence.

That was until Thursday night in the Thunder Dome, when Durant pinned a Darren Collison layup on the backboard, grabbed the rebound, drove coast to coast and annihilated Chris Kaman.

But don’t take my word for it, check out the highlight (complete with TNT announcer Kevin Harlan losing his mind):

Along with the swat and slam, you might as well give Durant a steal on the play as well. Looked like O.J. Mayo was so flustered by the sequence he decided to fling an errant alley-oop into the first row.

Reminds me a bit of this LeBron dunk-block-three sequence from a few years back. Almost sad to be reminded how loved he was in Cleveland.
