UPDATE: One lane of Interstate 40 near El Reno reopened after tractor-trailer hauling cattle overturns

10:45 a. m. The right lane of westbound Interstate 40 at County Club in Canadian County has been reopened. The left lane will remain shut down until further notice while

workers replace a guardrail, state transportation officials report.

5:10 a.m. Interstate 40 is closed between U.S. 81 and Country Club Road near El Reno due to an overturned tractor-trailer, the Oklahoma Department of Transportation reports.

Traffic is being detoured at U.S. 81 and routed through El Reno on I-40 Business Route. The closure is expected to last through the morning. Drivers should expect delays and congestion. Updates will be sent as the situation changes, ODOT reports.  

4:45 a.m. EL RENO — Interstate 40 westbound is being shut down due to a wreck, The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports.

The crash is near El Reno. The crash happened about 3:45 a.m.
