Oklahoma probably will never repeat the 2010 draft, when three players (Sam Bradford, GK McCoy, Trent Williams) went in the top 4, and another (Jermaine Gresham) went No. 21.

But 2011 might not be too shabby for the Sooners.

ESPN recently released its draft rankings for the ’11 draft, with several Sooners hitting the board:

Travis Lewis is the only projected first rounder. He is the No. 2 OLB, and the No. 18 prospect overall.

Safety Quinton Carter, perhaps surprisingly, is OU’s No. 2 top prospect. He is ranked as the No. 2 safety, and the No. 37 overall player.

Defensive end Jeremy Beal is ranked as the No. 6 OLB, and No. 53 overall.

Running back DeMarco Murray is slotted as the No. 5 RB, and No. 59 overall player.

DT Adrian Taylor is No. 7 at his position, No. 63 overall.’

Finally, junior WR Ryan Broyles is the No. 9 WR and No. 72 overall.

As expected, Washington QB Jake Locker is ESPN’s No. 1 prospect.
