Postgame thoughts: What did you think of the Sooners’ performance?

It is obvious that we have an awful lot of trouble containing mobile quarterbacks. Giving them extra time to either run or pass is a blue print for a loss waiting to happen. We contained Ponder and the outcome was great. We certainly have the talent so it's perplexing to me why, at times, we look so vulnerable. More blitzes? Closer to the line defensive back coverage? Better coverage to stop the middle dive plays or QB scrambles? We like to have at least 85 snaps a game, so getting the ball back in the hands of our offense is paramount. Our defense is going to be the answer to our success this year. It has become obvious to everyone!

i am glad we got the win "BUT" i know they run a wild scheme but i cant see why we had so much trouble defending their base triple option. alot of plays the defense had no perimeter support. the defensive end cant cover both options. didnt we run that scheme at one time? oh yes thats right switzer one three national titles with it so there isnt an excuse for not shutting that offense down.

Wort needs to pick up his game. Any good defense needs more playmaking from the Mike position.

Why is anyone surprised? The team was forewarned about cut blocks by a team that executes with precision timing, focus and misdirection. The "D" was on it's heels all game, but to me played as well as they could, great move not playing A.T., Air Force, grinds time off the clock and keeps you guessing, looking out the back of your helmet and each ear hole. The thing that bit AF in the butt was the fumble, (thanks, Jevon) nice play. On the other hand, if Landry is on his game it's 40+ and everyone is going ho-hum. AF will have a good season and prove themselves over and over. I want to see the team come together with some focus moving forward and improving each week. Even the 2000 season had some nail biting but also included "RED OCTOBER". Ok, Nails off the menu, I'd like one order of "Red October".

Venebles and Wilson should be replaced.n They are doing a crappy job. Venebles cannot replace Stoop's brother. No way.

I don't care about style points etc., just win baby! 3-0 means 3-0. Go Sooners!

I worry about the DT position and MIKE linebacker.
