It’s a typical question the media asks the players during a big game week.

Heard from any previous players this week?

Kenny Stills kind of stumbled before he got out his answer.

Former Oklahoma linebacker Brian Bosworth watched over the Sooners’ Tuesday practice … except Stills delivered the news a little differently.

“Mr. Bosworth was just at practice,” Stills said. “He told us to go out there and take care of business.”

Mr. Bosworth, or  ”The Boz,” was a two-time consensus All-American in 1985 and 1986 who was known for his big hits and big controversy during his days under former Oklahoma coach Barry Switzer.

Some of the media members laughed when Stills referred to the controversial linebacker with a “Mister.”

“I’m sure he would appreciate that,” a media member said.

“I mean, I just got to have respect for him,” Stills said. “He did his stuff when he was here.”

Former players coming to practice is not uncommon, but co-offensive coordinator Jay Norvell said he thinks it’s a great experience when great players return to talk with the eam.

“We talk to our guys all the time that we walk around the building and see these pictures of all these great players,” Norvell said. “But at one point they were just like they are.
