Sound Off: Fans talk about the Sooners’ loss to Missouri

First of all i truely believe its time for Venebals and Wilson to hit the road. Bob needs let them guys go or hopefully they find jobs to go to. i once believed that Coach V was a great coach til it finally hit me how bad he really is.He calls perfect games against average teams but against the big name teams he gets scared. pretty sure thats where Mike shined as well as Mark Mangino on Offense. And as for Wilson. That guy just does not deserve to coach at OKLAHOMA. he is horrible! lets go shopping for a new offensive coordinator heck give Josh Heuple a shot. he knows what it takes to win a National Championship. BOOMER SOONER TIL THE END!!!

There are alot of good remarks in these comments..I do agree that when Mike Stoops left the D has not been the same..I honestly believe that if He was still with O.U. the 3 National Championship games that we have played that We would have won at least 2 of them and the one against U.S.C. I believe we would have lost but would not have walked away with our tails between our legs because We got our buttes kicked..One remark stated Coach should help on D the problem is He has been and He has been coaching the D.B. and that is where alot of our problems are..I know we have alot of young talent playing but this is there 7th game...Hopefully We can get to the Big 12 Championship Game and get our revenge on Mizzou....GO SOONERS!!!!

Small Game Bob needs to seriously pay back all of his raises to the OU athletics department. The guy has been subpar for the last few years. Kevin Wilson should be coordinating an offense for a high school football team.

No one has said it, but since Mike Stoops left and Venerables has been running the "D", it has absolutely gone downhill. They do not seem to play with the enthusiasm, the solid technique game plan that was visible when Mike Stoops was their leader. Stoops is very loyal to his coaches, but how many times do we get beat in the last quarter because of lack of coverage, missing tackles, missed assignments? Coaches need to be held responsible as well as the players. The defensive play at MU was an embarrassment to the entire OU team. Maybe Bob Stoops needs to be more involved in the defensive game planning since he was a defensive coordinator for so long.

TWO WEEKS AGO COACH STOOPS SAID "WE DO NOT TACKLE TO THE GROUND" WHEN ASK ABOUT THE PLAYERS POOR TACKLING. YOU USALLY PLAY LIKE YOU PRATICE. IT WOULD HELP THE TEAM TO INSPIRE THEM, TO FIRE THEM UP. I BELEIVE THE COACHES LET THE PLAYERS DO FOR THEMSELVES. SHADES OF CHUCK FAIRBANKS.

When I was at OU in the 1970s, the Mizzou fans were considered the worst even back then. Very abusive and could even rough you up. Totally classless. Some things never change.

I echo Mike's comments above. Most of the younger Tiger fans at the game were the most classless a-hole fans I have ever come across --- and that includes the Florida fans I ran across at the natl championship game. I was in Columbia and our group was mouthed off at repeatedly from the moment we stepped out of the car. Glad I didn't take my folks or my son because of the cussing directed our way. I even saw one group burn an OU flag --- I'm a big boy, however I'd rather sit on the couch and watch the game than go to Columbia and endure idiot fans. The Tigers may be playing better, but their program will not have truly arrived until their fans get rid of their inferiority complex.

Wow, some seriously spoiled SOB's around here. 2 turnovers in the red zone and a missed field goal.
