Oklahoma junior forward Amath M’Baye’s decision to enter the NBA draft shocked a lot of people yesterday.

While M’Baye said his decision was made by the fact that he’s almost 24 and needs to support his family, there is still a huge basketball aspect to him forgoing his senior season in Norman.

Here’s M’Baye’s statistics broken down across the games and total:

Oklahoma coach Lon Kruger agreed that M’Baye would benefit from another year in college ball, but said it wasn’t his decision to make:

“Of course, that would be my opinion but still, he’s got to want to be here. He’s got to approach it with enthusiasm and the right frame of mind. If he wants to be somewhere else, as indicated by Amath, we respect that and understand that. I don’t think it’s healthy for either if it’s not something he really wants to do.”
