Diora Baird returns to Nerdage’s list of actresses with geek appeal in 2011.  In 2010, she hit No. 24; she’s up 3 spots this year.

Baird starred in “30 Days of Night: Dark Days,” based on the Steve Niles comic book in 2010.  She also made an appearance in the John Cusack film “Hot Tub Time Machine.”   She appeared with Tricia Helfer in the Black Keys video “Howlin’ for You” earlier this year.

Baird appeared at Comic-Con in 2009 to promote “Stan Helsing,” the horror movie parody.

Two major nerd projects that Baird just missed include Thor, which she auditioned for; and “Star Trek,” from which she was cut from the final release.

She has appeared in “Wedding Crashers,” “Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning,” and  “Y.P.F.”

She also has a really spectacular twitter feed.

Upcoming films according to IMDB include “Riddle,” with Val Kilmer; “Transit,” with James Caviezel; and “Last Call” with Christopher Lloyd.
