Planet Comicon in Overland Park, Kan., was held the weekend of March 24-25. It was one of the
busiest Planet Comicons I’ve been to, with fans lined up out the door. Celebrities on hand included Billy Dee Williams who played Lando Calrissian in “The Empire Strikes Back” and “Return of the Jedi,” and Edward James Olmos from the TV series “Battlestar Galactica.”The event, held since 1999 in Overland Park, Kan., is the area’s largest comics and pop culture show.
