According to a report in Deadline, the “Sin City” movie sequel, “A Dame to Kill For,” is a go.

Filmmakers Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller will return along with producer Alexander Rodnyansky.

The first question I am always asked is “When will you make another Sin City? ,” said Rodriquez in the Deadline article.  “I have wanted to re-team with Frank Miller and return to the world he created since the day we wrapped the original, but have felt a duty to the fans to wait until we had something truly exceptional that would meet and exceed what have become epic expectations. A Dame To Kill For will certainly be worth the wait.”

Deadline says casting will begin next week, with many of the original cast expected to return.

Deadline reports that the  script and details of the film’s story have been kept tightly under wraps. However, those interested in details could probably buy a copy of the “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For” graphic novel, or back issues of the comic-book miniseries, written and drawn by Miller, to get a pretty good clue.  The original “Sin City” stuck extremely closely to the source material of the original “Sin City” comics storyline.
