Kevin Smith, Bruce Timm set for The Dark Knight Returns part 2 premiere event at Paley Center

The animated film “The Dark Knight Returns, Part 2″ will have its West Coast premiere at the Paley Center for Media, 465 N. Beverly Drive, Beverly Hills, Calif., on Monday, Jan. 28.   Filmmaker Kevin Smith will moderate the event, which will feature guests including Bruce Timm, Executive Producer; Jay Oliva, Director; Bob Goodman, Screenwriter and Andrea Romano, Dialogue/Casting Director.

The film will be released Jan. 29 on Blu-ray and DVD.  According to a news release, the film is the conclusion to the two-part adaptation of the acclaimed 1980s comic series The Dark Knight Returns starring a retired Batman who dons the cape and cowl to deal with a city decaying into crime.  The animated film is based on the classic graphic novel by Frank Miller.

The voice cast includes Peter Weller, Michael Emerson and Mark Valley.
