Starting on June 10, OU professor Jeremy Short will teach “Introduction to Management,” which will use his graphic novel, “Atlas Black: The Complete Adventure,” as one of the texts. As first reported in The Oklahoman, a study by Short and co-author Aaron McKenny recently showed students retained information better using a graphic novel versus a traditional textbook.

The Introduction to Management class will be offered online free to anyone; OU students who choose to enroll will receive three hours of credit, which will incur the typical expenses.

Short said he will use real-world examples from Oklahoma to showcase the progress of Oklahoma small businesses to the rest of the world.

Short has co-authored both traditional as well as graphic novel works including a Harvard Business Case in graphic novel format and the “Atlas Black” graphic novel.
