Comics writer S. Steven Struble is set to appear in Oklahoma City this week.

Struble is the writer of Image Comics’ “Li’l Depressed Boy.”

S. Steven Struble, originally from Kansas, began Li’l Depressed Boy as a webcomic in 1998. With artist Sina Grace, Struble brought “Li’l Depressed Boy” to Image for an ongoing series, with 15 issues released so far.

“The Li’l Depressed Boy is a comic book about getting out of the house and taking the steps to change your life,” Struble said in an interview with Crave Online. “It stars a rag doll named LDB, who is fighting his anti-social nature and putting himself out there in the world for the first time. It’s one part romance, one part comedy and a heaping helping of slice-of-life.”

The signing is set for 1 p.m. March 16 at All-Star Comics, 6900 N May Ave, #10. For more information, call 842-7800.
