Paramount has made a quick decision to continue the “G.I. Joe” franchise, Variety reports.
The second “Joe” film, “G.I. Joe: Retaliation,” has made $132 million worldwide. The first film in the series, “Rise of Cobra,” came out in 2009. “Retaliation,” which had a new director and a mostly new cast, was delayed 9 months to convert the film to 3-D. The movies are based on the Hasbro action figure line about a military strike team. Stars of the second film included Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Bruce Willis, and Adrianne Palicki. Ray Park returned as Snake Eyes.
Anecdotally, it seems response to “Retaliation” was stronger than for “Rise of Cobra” among “Joe” fans. What did you think of “Retaliation”? Do you want to see a third “Joe” film?
