Chris Christie: Too unhealthy to be president?

A former White House doctor recently faced scrutiny when she suggested that New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is too obese to run for president.

Talking Points Memo reports that, during an appearance on CNN earlier this week, former White House physician Connie Mariano said that, although she would like the popular GOP governor to run for president, he needed to lose some weight or potentially face the negative health consequences of obesity.



“It’s almost like a time bomb waiting to happen unless he addresses those issues before he runs for office,” Mariano told CNN.
