ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Brett Wallace had one of three Oklahoma City home runs Sunday, and the RedHawks outlasted Albuquerque 10-7 in Pacific Coast League baseball before 6,654 fans at Isotopes Park.
Wallace, who was sent to OKC by the Houston Astros before the weekend, made his first appearance count. His solo homer helped Oklahoma City (10-7) win its third consecutive game and remain a half-game behind first-place Round Rock. Jimmy Paredes and Marc Krauss added homers; Krauss' home run was his team-best fourth of the season.
Albuquerque (8-9) roughed up Oklahoma City starting pitcher Ross Seaton for six runs through 41/3 innings. But the RedHawks' relief corps dominated the rest of the way, holding the Isotopes to a run on two hits. Jose Valdez notched his fifth save of the season.
The teams continue the series at 7:35 p.m. Tuesday.
